The IC-F3062/F4062 series is the succesor to the best selling IC-F31G/F41G series of professional PMR handheld transceivers. Designed for business, the IC-F3062 series builds on the strengths of its predecessor by implementing the latest in technical innovations including optional 6.25kHz digital capability, built in voice scrambler and a BTL amplifier that provides loud and clear sound. The IC-F3062/F4062 series also has a durable construction which is backed up by the aluminium die cast chassis and polycarbonate casing that meets IP54/55 requirements for dust-protection, splash and water jet resistance. This provides reliable operation under harsh weather and environmental conditions.

6.25kHz digital mode ready
With the optional UT-119H, the IC-F3062 series provides 6.25kHz digital narrow mode communication which the meets the FCC 6.25kHz emission mask requirements for narrow banding. It increases efficiency of channel allocation and use of spectrum. The IC-F3062 series has one optional slot for the digital unit and one for other optional units. So a two option units combination, such as voice scrambler and digital unit, is possible.
Full dot-matrix LCD
The IC-F3062 series has an easy to read large full dot-matrix LCD (32 x 18 mm) that shows upper and lower case characters clearly. The display setting is selectable from 1 line, 12 characters or 2 lines 24 characters via programming. While status icons are on the top side of the display, the bottom side shows assigned functions to the NETQUOTEVAR:P0 to NETQUOTEVAR:P3 buttons.
Lithium-Ion battery pack and rapid charger as standard
The IC-F3062/F4062 series is supplied with the BP-232 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery pack and BC-160 desktop rapid charger as standard. The BP-232 is a large Li-Ion battery which provides up to 15 hours* of operating time. Lithium-Ion batteries provide larger capacity and a longer operating time than a Ni-Cd or Ni-MH battery pack and allow flexible charging without memory effect. * Typical operation; Tx:Rx:Stand-by duty cycle=5:5:90, power save on.
BTL amplifier
The IC-F3062/F4062 series employs a BTL amplifier that doubles the audio output, delivering loud and clear sound.
Built in Voice scrambler
The IC-F3062/F4062 series has a built-in inversion type voice scrambler as standard. By installing an optional voice scrambler unit, UT-109R or UT-110R, more secure communication can be possible.
512 memory channels and rotary channel knob
The IC-F3062/F4062 series has 512 programmable channels with 128 zones. With a simple rotation of the rotary channel knob, memory channels can be selected.
Wide frequency coverage
The IC-F3062/F4062 series covers a wide frequency range (VHF 136-174, UHF 400–470MHz). The series also has wide, middle and narrow channel spacing (25, 20, 12.5kHz)* selectable per channel. * Cannot program 25 and 20 kHz at the same time.
IP54/55 Dust-protection and splash resistance
The IC-F3062/F4062 series meets IP54/55 requirements for dust-protection, splash and water jet resistance. Its durable construction is backed up by the aluminium die cast chassis and polycarbonate casing, allowing reliable operation under harsh weather and environmental conditions.
Most popular signalling built-in
The IC-F3062 series has built in 2-Tone, 5-Tone, CTCSS and DTCS signaling for group communication or selective calling. The IC-F3062 series can decode ten 2-Tone codes or eight 5-Tone codes on a channel. When a matched tone is received, various actions are programmable for each code (e.g. answer back calls, beep sounds, bell icons, Auto TX, stun/kill radio, scans etc. Also, 40 pairs of CTCSS/DTCS memory channels are available.
Scan features
The IC-F3062 series has 10 scanning modes. The Voting mode scanning detects the S-meter level of repeater stations and automatically selects the strongest station. Priority scan and double priority scanning is also available.
